Good to know
Thumbnails are drawn on your device with the same engine Firefox uses to show PDFs. Large documents can take a few seconds to appear.
Rotation is stored as a page setting, so the content is not re-rendered and stays sharp.
Questions
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. PDF1 runs the whole job inside your browser tab with JavaScript and WebAssembly. The page has no upload endpoint, and its security policy blocks connections to other servers, so the file stays on your device. You can even disconnect from the internet once the page has loaded.
Can I undo a deleted page?
Yes. Deleted pages stay on the grid, faded out, until you save. Press Restore on the page to bring it back.
Can I add pages from another PDF?
Merge the two files first with Merge PDF, then organize the result.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. On touch screens, use the arrow buttons on each page to move it, because dragging can be fiddly.
