    Good to know

This adds a visual signature: an image of your signature on the page, which is what most everyday forms and letters ask for.

It is not a certificate-based digital signature, the cryptographic kind that some legal and government processes require. Those need a certificate from a trust provider.

    Questions

    Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. PDF1 runs the whole job inside your browser tab with JavaScript and WebAssembly. The page has no upload endpoint, and its security policy blocks connections to other servers, so the file stays on your device. You can even disconnect from the internet once the page has loaded.

Is a signature added this way legally valid?

In many countries a simple electronic signature like this is acceptable for everyday agreements, but rules vary by country and document type. Check with whoever asked for the signature if you’re unsure.

    Is my signature saved?

No. It exists only in this tab and is gone when you close it.

Can I sign more than one page?

Yes. Place the signature, switch to another page and place it again before downloading.
