How to delete pages from a PDF

    1. Choose a PDF.
    2. Click the pages to delete in the preview, or type them, such as “1, 4-6”.
    3. Press Delete pages and download the new PDF.

    Good to know

Pages that stay are copied exactly, so text remains selectable and nothing is recompressed. Your original file isn’t changed.

To delete pages and reorder or rotate others at the same time, use Organize PDF, which shows every page as a thumbnail.

    Questions

    Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. PDF1 runs the whole job inside your browser tab with JavaScript and WebAssembly. The page has no upload endpoint, and its security policy blocks connections to other servers, so the file stays on your device. You can even disconnect from the internet once the page has loaded.

How do I delete the last page?

Type its number, or click it in the preview. “10-” deletes page 10 to the end.

Can I delete pages from a password-protected PDF?

Remove the password first with Unlock PDF (you need to know it), then delete the pages.

Does deleting pages make the file smaller?

Usually, yes. Images and fonts that only the deleted pages used are left out of the new file.
